This is a song I wrote way back when the dinosaurs were still walking on the planet. I think everyone is an escapist to some degree. We all have our thing that we do to loosen the grips of whatever reality we are in at the time. A certain amount of this can be healthy then again some forms of escapism are by there very nature unhealthy. Some use sex, drugs, exercise, food, booze, whatever we all do it in our own way. For me I like the road. The road has always symbolized hope, regeneration, new beginnings that sort of thing. This song is about that type of journey for me. This particular performance was at Kinney Creek Brewery in Rochester Mn. with my good friend Dedrick Benz. Enjoy your life.
