Originally published December 23, 2014 An explosion took place at a gas station in Soc Trang City, Vietnam on the morning of December 25. According to local reports, at least four people were injured in the blast, but were recovering from non-life threatening wounds. One employee named Vo Van Mong said he was helping a line of customers pump gas right before the explosion took place. The force of the blast was reportedly so strong that one woman nearby lost consciousness. A fire also erupted right after the explosion, but was quickly extinguished by station employees. Four people were sent to hospital for injuries sustained in the incident, including one child. Authorities are still looking into the cause of the blast.
