The tunnel goes underneath the Baltimore Harbor. Is 1.5 miles (2.4 km) long, with 8 lanes in 4 tubes, operating speed at 55mph (89 km/h). The tunnel, which opened on November 23, 1985, closed a gap in the East Coast's most important interstate route, Interstate 95, between Maine and Florida. I use this tunnel everyday to and from work at UMMC. As of November 2011 the toll rate for cars is $3.00, paid in either direction, $0.75 when using the E-Zpass mounted prepaid transponder. I'm using a GoPro HD2 on this video.
