A traveling exhibit finds a home in downtown Asheville for Black History Month, with a spotlight slavery in America.The path to emancipation exhibit is at the YMI Cultural Center.Marking the the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863.Each panel outlines the struggle for freedom by enslaved people in our state and across the nation.Roy Harris, YMI Cultural Center, but they were a vital part of the economy.
