This song is very special for me, I got hooked on Ginga when I was kid and I'm still a fan. I covered this once before, but I felt the old version wasn't up to par with the song so I decided to do it again. I recorded the drums early 2017 but out of frustration of the track not sounding good enough, I just buried it for later. Now I dug up the material and found it to sound pretty good so I mixed it, fresh ears change things. 

To make this video even more special case I decided to cover the vocals also. Singing in Japanese was an interesting challenge as I don't speak the language much. I put a lot of practice to it to make it sound as authentic as I could. I also haven't done this kind of vocal style ever before on record. Clean, high pitched heavy metal vocals aren't really my thing, or maybe it will be. I ain't Ronny James Dio, but I did my best to kick some power into this one. 

The backing track I used is the instrumental version of the theme. It had a tempo difference to the vocal version, so I had to go thought roughly  eight hours of editing to make it fit the the drum track and as I don't have audiowarp on old Cubase, I had to do this by hand, meaning cutting the track to pieces, moving them around and then fixing the wave. The result isn't perfect, but its the best I could do under the circumstances. The other option would have been re-recording the drums which I didn't want to do this time. 

Once again, the short comings of my equipment made things slow, but it is done now. It took heck of a long time to make, so I hope you enjoy listening as much I enjoyed making.
