It's a tough thing when you rescue kittens in dire straits, born wild, but older. It's tough to tame older wild kittens adequately for normal house cat adoption. This was the case when a woman saw kittens on a rural road. We caught three of them, plus another found on another road under a tree. All were near death from starvation, dehydration, and cold. But they all survived. Meanwhile, kittens were seen a mile away in a rural barn. They were not being fed and unwanted. We caught Pisces and Winnie there. Winnie, the kitten found under a tree, tamed enough to go to Heartland Humane for adoption. Classic torti Tilly and her sister, Wren, went to the same home where they have thrived. Copper is now in a home but is struggling to adjust. Pisces and Twilight from the barn, still wait for a home.
