She started singing at the age of 12 years and started writing songs at the age of 16years. She has performed at various venues, including Artscape, Grace Performing Arts Centre, Youth and various church events. She used to sing in the band RAW Generation at Lighthouse Ministries and also assisted with backing vocals at the 2017 Cape Town Jazzathon. Cherise started working on her debut album in 2015, and will complete the full process this year. She has released the single, “You’re Beautiful” in 2016 on the online store Fiftyloop. This song features on her debut album as well. She will have her official live album launch, later in the year.
