Turnout in European Elections Falls Again, to 43%

Turnout in the 2009 European elections was 43.01 percent, down for a seventh consecutive time the European elections were held since 1979. Some 378 million people in 27 countries were eligible to vote in the European elections that were held between Thursday and today.
