This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. How do you challenge yourself without overwhelming yourself? Can you learn enough of a language to know whether or not you want to continue? Mark Lombardi-Nelson will tell you about taking on bigger challenges for shorter periods of time, using his challenge of the month concept. Mark Lombardi-Nelson is a recent graduate of the University of South Florida, and an Account Executive with VIP Software. He lives his life by two personal mission statements. "1) I will consistently challenge myself for the betterment of others. 2) In my life I will produce, provide, and be a service." About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
