Reminding myself that the world is fallen is something I do not enjoy doing, yet it is a vital reminder to me. Knowing many non believers die everyday and many people witness that Christ is not at the center of the world's interest is crushing. I am living in this fallen world, and with God's help I'll save all I can, but I must first accept that I cannot save everyone before their death. The wo...rld is fallen, the devil truly has a grip and is snatching all he can before his known final defeat. In a sin city many people walk by you on the street, you can grab two by the arm and in turn they grab others to form a chain of which you, a supposed imitation and temple of Christ, are at the center. Oh but time is the enemy.. people walk by so fast. You can only grab who you can and pray for the flood of people you couldn't grab, who's hearts you couldn't reach as they were out of reach and very distracted. Trying to stop the flood of souls into hell feels like you are trying to catch all the water of a constant waterfall with a small bucket.. We feel so desperate sometimes and so helpless. Grateful we are for the little water we catch in our bucket from the waterfall, but then we look over our shoulder at the rest of the water rushing so quickly downward. Oh God, with you all things are possible, and it is true that you conquered death so I with many wouldn't be on the unfortunate path to the fire! yet oh the sorrows of the faith, oh the sorrows of the knowledge once we have it and know others do not, when we have the faith and know others do not. oh the sorrows, the same sorrows shared by our Blessed Lady as she watches her children fall like rain into horrific ends. We know in the end we win over the devil and his murderous ways, but as we watch satan grab the last of what he can before his defeat..ah it is sad.. brothers and sisters daily lost to his flames. Here we are, it is a fallen world, but we'll save who we can. For one less cut on the body of our beautiful Redeemer, for one less tear and stabbing pain in the perfect and immaculate heart of our Mother..... I would do anything. so I save who I can.
