গতকাল রাজধানীর একটি হোটেলে 'ব্যবসা সহজীকরণ' নিয়ে বাংলাদেশ বিনিয়োগ উন্নয়ন কর্তৃপক্ষ-বিডা আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানে আমলাতান্ত্রিক জটিলতা দূর করতে তিনি এই পরামর্শ দেন। এসময়, ব্যবসা শুরু করতে ব্যবসায়ীদের বিড়ম্বনার উল্লেখ করে ব্যবসা সহজীকরণ সূচকে উন্নতি করতে সমন্বিতভাবে কাজ করার ওপর জোর দেন বাণিজ্যমন্ত্রী তোফায়েল আহমেদ। এক্ষেত্রে বিদ্যুৎ ও জ্বালানি প্রতিমন্ত্রী মনে করেন, দ্রুত সাফল্য পেতে সংশ্লিষ্ট সব দপ্তরে ডিজিটাল পদ্ধতি চালু করতে হবে। একই অনুষ্ঠানে স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী টেকসই উন্নয়নের জন্য টেকসই নিরাপত্তার গুরুত্ব তুলে ধরেন আর নৌমন্ত্রী জানান, নৌপথে বাণিজ্য সহজ করার পথে এখনও অনেক বড় একটি বাধা- চট্টগ্রাম বন্দরের শুল্ক জটিলতা।
