NGO Helps Reintegrate Former Female Prisoners Into Society

One NGO is seeking the interest of female prisoners, and those who have served their sentence and were released, by empowering and helping them to fit back into society. The Joint Force Anti Crime Initiative of Change TT was established earlier this year by Zola Simmons, who served time at prison and was released this year. The organisation met with Prisons Commissioner Gerard Wilson on Wednesday to share their vision and concerns. Ms. Simmons spoke to TTT News via telephone. Ms. Simmons said the meeting went well, and she looks forward to any assistance the Prison Service can render in helping female prisoners and ex-prisoners on the path to reform.
