KRMI/Karmali -- CSMT/Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus

Mumbai CSMT - Karmali Tejas Express is one of India’s semi-high speed full AC train fleet introduced by Indian Railways connecting Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Maharashtra and Karmali in Goa. It is currently being operated with 22119/22120 train numbers on five days a week basis but during Monsoon season the train will run thrice a week.
The coaches are manufactured at the Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala.
There are 14 non-executive chair cars and they can seat up to 78 passengers each (3+2) configuration and two executive chair cars (in 2+2 configuration). The executive chair cars have a seating capacity of 56 passengers and adjustable head-rests, arm support and leg support. All doors are centrally controlled.
It is designed by Indian Railways with features of LED screen display to show information about stations, train speed etc. and will have announcement system as well, Vending machines for tea, coffee and milk, Bio toilets in compartments as well as CCTV cameras, water level indicators, tap sensors, hand dryers, integrated braille displays, LED TV for each passenger with phone sockets, local cuisine, celebrity chef menu, WiFi, tea and coffee vending machines, magazines, snack tables, fire & smoke detection and suppression system.
Onboard catering service charges are included in the fare. If the passengers do not wish to avail it at the time of booking and want to purchase meals on board, they will have to pay Rs 50 extra per service.
It averages 53 km/hr as 22119 Tejas Express starts five days a week on Monday and Thursday covering 524 km in 10 hrs 30 mins & 51 km/hr as 22120 Tejas Express starts five days a week on Monday and Thursday and covering 552 km in 10 hrs 45 mins.
The train runs at an average speed of 130 km/h (81 mph) but is allowed to touch 180 km/h (110 mph) on some sections.
This train was hauled by two Kalyan Based WDM 3A from Mumbai to Karmali. Now twin WDM-3Ds have been replaced with KYN WDP-3A (ex-shed: Golden Rock (GOC) of SR division), specially designed to haul this train at 160 KMPH.

The inaugural run of Tejas Express was on 22 May 2017 from Mumbai CST to Karmali, Goa. It covered 551.7 km in 8 hours and 30 minutes.
