World Leaders Hold Summit in Italy

Leaders of the world's most powerful nations meet in central Italy this year (July 8-10) for the annual G8 summit. The agenda is expected to cover a wide range of issues, from the ongoing global economic crisis to Afghanistan, Iran, and aid to Africa and other poverty stricken areas of the world. As VOA's Sonja Pace reports from near the summit site in L'Aquila, the meeting has a very special significance for summit host, Italy.
