Silent Hill 2 save glitches part 1

For some reason, either one or more copies of my Silent Hill 2 games and/or both of my PS2 memory cards have something really wrong with them. It won't let me load any of these saves that show up when I get to a save point. It doesn't give me the option to load on the title screen. The words kinda blink a little, though. D: Ahhhhhh what
