United Nations, New York, 26 August 2009 - Security Council Press statement on the bombings that took place in the Afghan city of Kandahar on the evening of the 25th of August 2009, which caused the death of over 40 civilians and injured more than 80 others. The statement is read by the President of the Security Council and Permanent Representative of United Kingdom, H.E. Sir John Sawers.
