MBTA F40 on the "Wrong" end

F40 #1026 on the South end of a Reading local. HSP #2012 was on the North end. It's unusual to see locomotives on the South end of the train. Both locomotives had something running, so I don't know if there was a mechanical failure or a cab car failure. (It was cold, and I'm not sure what the HEP unit sounds like compared to the main engine on an HSP.)
