John McKaig's annual New Years Day Hardcore Matinee. There resurgence in straight edge, veganism, and meaningful hardcore in Syracuse was at it's peak in 2002-3. Hardcore's origins in the late 80's and particularly in Syracuse in the mid-nineties had long phased out. The amount of good bands on this one show is mind-blowing, and the sold-out crowd at the massive Bridge Street Music Hal shows that the 315 scene was alive and well. Happy 15th Anniversary, scene I once knew. Please comment the band names and songs if you recognize them.
