Ex-BR Class 7MT 'Britannia' 4-6-2 no.70000 'Britannia' hauled the London Paddington to Stratford-Upon-Avon & return tour 'The Cathedrals Express' 1Z40 & 1Z41. Originally due to run via Beaconsfield the tour was to be diverted via Reading & Oxford due to late engineering works. This gave us the opportunity to see her at Didcot as we were there anyway to see both 6023 & 6024 King Edward II & I. She is seen from Didcot Parkway Station heading through Didcot East Junction, unfortunately she was only creeping through although made up for it with a fantastic display of whistling between her and 6024 who was sat in the platform of Didcot Railway Centre's main demonstration line.
