Saturday night's storms walloped T.R. Hughes Ball Park in O'Fallon, MO, the home of the River City Rascals minor league baseball team. Rascals General Manager, Chris Franklin, said high winds whipped through the ballpark for about 30 minutes destroying several party and picnic areas, a concession stand; plus signage on the outfield wall and one of the dugouts. He estimated the damage at more than $50,000. Rascals staffers were scrambling to clean up the mess. Franklin said they would have the ball park ready by tonight's 5:00 p.m. home game; it would be played as scheduled.
