Paul Kunz put the first web server in the United Stated into production December 12, 1991. This web server was at the Stanford Linear Accelerator (SLAC - www.slac.stanford.edu) and contained 300,000 electronic copies of Physics papers. The SLAC web server helped early adopters of the Web to better understand the value of world-wide network of resources brought together in the web browsers with an unprecedented ease of use.
