In homage to Los Angeles’ LGBTQ+ pioneers and in celebration of the city’s young LGBTQ+ trailblazer’s, the It Gets Better Project gathered 10 special individuals to participate in a once-in-a-lifetime group portrait by Frederic Aranda. 

The portrait showcases both older and younger generations of activists, all of whom are local heroes who have helped bring change
to this incredible metropolis over the past 50 years.
