The first time ever, I was able to perform this cleaning, only by removing one bolt... 
The cleaning of heat sink and fan should be done on all laptops and desktops, approximately at 1-2 years time range, depends in witch conditions, you using your laptop or desktop.. 
The new thermal compound should be applied as well !!!
