I've been thinking about things lately, particularly the absurdity and rabid dog convictions of fanatical Christians in the United States (how "united" we are is subject to debate these days). It never ceases to amaize me how much they want to link their faith with nationalist fervor, even though the values this nation was supposedly founded on do not match up with the values of their faith. The things they claim they are about start to clash with each other the longer they keep talking. For example: they talk about a smaller, non intrusive government, and yet they want this place to be a religious country. Well, won't a national law based on religion be intrusive in people's lives? I'm sure the homosexuals in this country right now can tell us a lot about that. Anyway, here are a few of the thoughts in my head about all this. I'll probably add more as time permits.
