Cities and Suburbs Are Fastest-Growing Chesapeake Polluters

Despite voluntary measures and regulations across six states and Washington, DC, the Chesapeake Bay, the nation's largest estuary, remains polluted, its tributaries largely unfishable and unswimmable. As VOA's Rosanne Skirble reports in this third installment of our series, agriculture is now the biggest source of Bay pollution. But the fastest-growing source of pollution comes from the 17 million people who live in the Bay region, from contaminants that run off their streets, roofs, lawns and construction sites.
