At last, the Juggernaut of Skullgirls who has the great honor of being the game's very first playable MALE character. This soul brotha has a story worth remembering. Let me try to explain it. -------------- ---Skulllgirls 2nd Encore Presents---- ***A MURDEROUS AFFAIR OF MUSIC*** [=CAST=] -Main Characters- Rich Brown as Ben Birdland (Big Band) Sarah Williams as Peacock Christine Marie Cabanos as Avery Laura Post as Valentine Charlotte Ann as Double Kira "Rina-chan" Buckland as Bloody Marie Cristina Vee & Cassandra Lee as the Skull Heart -Other Characters- Cristina Vee as Cerebella Kimlihn Tran as Ms. Fortune Danielle McRae as Painwheel Erin Fitzgerald as Hive Kyle Herbert as Luduc and Irvin Laura Post as Ileum Christopher Corey Smith as Stanley Whitefin Kaiji Tang as Brain Drain -------------- Ben Birdland was a cop working in New Meridian, but then a hit was put on him by the Medici Mafia, and his so-called "fellow" cops beat him down and left him for dead. Fortunately, Lab 8 rescued him from his near-death experience, and placed him in an iron lung with all sorts of literal instrumental weapons. Thus, Ben Birdland became the massive musical mashing machine known as Big Band. As Big Band, he seeks to hunt down the current Skullgirl, Bloody Marie, as he had done so before with her two predecessors. Knowing that this new Skullgirls is hunting down the Mecidis, Big Band starts his search in their River King Casino. Big Band is temporarily stopped by the Medici's premiere acrobat, Cerebella. She's onto what Big Band's up to, and she wants to stop him. Big Band ain't having any of that! After roughing Cerebella up, Big Band got a distress call from Dr. Avian: Lab 8 was under attack! Big Band rushed back to the lab, only to see it in shambles, and the Avian, himself, murdered before his eyes. The monster known as Double was responsible for this, and she even copies Big Band's form to do it. Big Band then showed Double that soul can't be faked, forcing her to retreat. Big Band's next order of business was to find Lab 8 remaining survivors, after discovering some scalpels he's never seen before. This had him run into those survivors: Hive, Leduc, Illem, and Peacock. Peacock, being made to destroy Skullgirls, is all too eager to do so, but Big Band wanted her to work with him to do that. Peacock tried to shove Big Band aside, but Big Band defeats her in a fight before she heads out anyways after getting the last laugh. This told Big Band that she's not ready to face the Skullgirl just yet. Big Band heads to Little Innsmouth to find Peacock, but runs into Ms. Fortune, who confused Ben for a Medici. During the fight, Irvin, appeared and explained Ben to Nadia. He used to work with him, but now he's helping Nadia out. With Irvin's advice, Big Band headed downtown to witness the Skullgirl's large-scale attack. Brain Drain tried to make a deal with Big Band and have him with work Painwheel to kill the Skullgirl at her current position, but Ben was worried about the destruction that would cause, so Brain Drain has Painwheel attack Big Band, instead. Big Band easily defeated Painwheel, even though Painwheel never even wanted to fight,m. He managed to convince her to his side and keep her safe with the other Lab 8 survivors. Big Band finally realized that Peacock is at the Grand Cathedral, where Marie regroups in the catacombs below. Before he could reach both of them, he had to go through Valentine and have a rematch with Double on top of that. Marie and Peacock had already fought, but it merely a warmup to Peacock before Big Band showed up. So both of them teamed up on the Skullgirl to bring her and her growing evil lust for revenge down for good. After beating the Skullgirl, Big Band present his grand finale as he smashes the Skull Heart, itself, even if it will only be a temporary effort. He escapes the crumbling catacombs with Peacock and her cronies. For now, New Meridian and the entire world over was once again at peace thanks to Big Band and Peacock's efforts. Although this seemed to be a happy ending, not even Big Band himself believed that. He would still need the efforts of Peacock, Painwheel, and other powerful girls to keep the world at peace. THE END -------------- Really, though. Even if Big Band doesn't think so, his ending in this game is actually the least cruel of all of the characters up to his point. Some have perished, yes, but Big Band himself has not suffered any harsh consequences for his actions for what he does in his story. So yes, by Skullgirls standards, Big Band's ending is the happiest, and least painful one. Now the next DLC character, Eliza, on the other hand...
