Teaching a rhea to target using a clicker and a high rate of reinforcement. Notice that at the beginning he puffs up his feathers a lot. Last time I saw him I didn't have a target stick with me. I was there to harness-train the alpacas. I began to click and treat for any feather-puffing movements. A few minutes into it he was puffing up reliably. Also note that in second 0:27 I put the target closer to the camera, raising the criteria. I had a feeling that he would decide to go for it, and he did (yay!).
