New Online Database Helps Solve Cold Case Homicides

Dayton  It has been
13 years since Kevin Brame, a Dayton Police officer was brutally murdered. His
case remains unsolved, but a new initiative by the Ohio Attorney Generals
Office is giving his family new hope. 







 Its an online
database which showcases the more than 1,000 cold case homicides in Ohio. You
can reach it by clicking here.Brame is one of the
376 cases from the Dayton Police Department. He was murdered November 1, 1999. His
case is being featured for the month of February, which was the month of his
birthday.



Rosemary Brame, Kevins
mother, says it breaks her heart to know her sons killer(s) are still on the
loose.



He was just a
really good guy, had great friends, she said. I remember the day he died,
such a terrible day, worst day of my life, to lose a child it is the worst loss
a parent can have.



However, Brame isnt
giving up hope to find her sons killer. She has launched a website called, Justice
for Kevin Brame, where she shares his story and gives people the chance to
send any tips about her sons case. 



She hopes the website
launched by the Ohio Attorney General, Mike Dewine will bring answers to her
sons case. 







I try to do
everything I can to keep his case in front of the public so that they dont
forget. We know that there are people in Dayton that have information that
could solve his case and we just hope one day someone will come forward and tell
what they know, Brame said. Shes making sure her
sons memory lives on and turning this tragedy into something positive. On
Sunday, February 24, she is hosting a Community Fund Bowling Benefit. It will
be at Capri Lanes on South Dixie Highway in Dayton. Tickets are $20. The
proceeds will go to a scholarship for a Sinclair Community College student
pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice and to the Special Wish Foundation,
Dayton Chapter.
