More space news and info at: http://www.coconutsciencelab.com - the Apollo 11 Lunar Module "Eagle" landed on the Moon on July 20, 1969. Piloted by astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, the Eagle touched down near the southern rim of the Sea of Tranquility. More than four decades later, the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter's (LRO) narrow-angle camera (LROC) has created imagery that makes it possible to visit the landing site in a whole new way by flying around a three-dimensional model of the site.
