BASF Celebrates National Chemistry Week 2016 with Kids’ Lab

BASF brings award-winning Kids’ Lab program in the community during National Chemistry Week to inspire future scientists. Kids’ Lab is a global program for children ages 6-12 to raise their interest in chemistry through safe and engaging, hands-on experiments. BASF is proud to join the American Chemical Society in celebrating National Chemistry Week.
BASF visited Thomas Jefferson Elementary School in Morristown, New Jersey during National Chemistry Week to host Kids’ Lab for third, fourth, and fifth graders. Science teacher, Gabrielle Myer welcomes BASF Science Education Specialist, Molly Borst, to her classroom to celebrate all things chemistry. Depending on the grade level, students took part in a chromatography experiment or made slime with our Playful Polymer lesson. 
Since 2010, more than 100,000 children have participated in Kids’ Lab programs across North America. Through Kids’ Lab, we are creating fun with chemistry and encouraging kids to explore the connections between chemistry and the world around them.
