Here is Heat 3 (of 3) of the Varsity Boys 800 Meter Run at the 2018 Asics Orange County Championships (track & field).  The meet was held on April 14 at Mission Viejo High School (southern California).  The meet brings together teams from all over Orange County across Southern Section divisions.

Commentary:  VanDorpe very tough to catch once he gets the lead; runs a (temporary) PR here.  Goes on to close his career as Southern Section Champion and 3rd at State.  We'll cover more on him in later releases.  Sutherland makes his career PR in this one.  Dowdy gets a transient PR.
