Las organizaciones humanitarias han expresado su preocupación por las condiciones en el complejo, que se ha convertido en un campamento improvisado. El gobierno de la ciudad ha distribuido láminas de plástico para preparar refugios improvisados ante las lluvias más intensas esperada en los próximos días y ha solicitado ayuda del gobierno federal.
