Zmey EP
1.Memories // 2.Russians

Zmey drops a hot new debut EP on our Fris imprint and presents the two titles "Memories" and "Russians".

Both "Memories" and "Russians" are perfect tracks for the minimal techno and progressive DJs. The cuts come with a strong focus on the beats and bass and contain percussive synth effects and while the tracks progress, they seem to grow bigger and bigger. "Memories" is definitely pumping in techno style and the frantic string stabs give the track a nice drive. The break then turns the whole track around it seems and offers lovely chords, everything still filled with unexpected and original stop and go edits.

"Russians" is another fat techno pumper with lots of minimal effects and an incredible deep bass, deep down in the production. What initially sounds like smooth synth chords are in fact short samples of the voices that you will here in the breaks: a beautiful Russian choir singing, most probably taken from a well known classical title or maybe even a traditional Russian folks song. Zmey throws in big synth stabs with a lot of reverb and together with the funky percussion that he uses, "Russians" makes for an absolute unique floor filler that will get the party going big time!
