Unboxing the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 for the first time came with mixed feelings.

On first glance, the massive 10.1 screen grabs your attention. Once you press the power button you realize your excitement was a little premature for the most part.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 is running the same exact software as the Galaxy S lll. TouchWiz 4.0 on top of the already outdated Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Samsung has decided to be very generous with packing some major horsepower inside the device. Inside you'll get Samsung's increasingly popular Exynos 1.4ghz Quad-core processor, 2GB of Ram, 5MP Rear-Facing Camera, 1.9MP Front-Facing Camera, and the new all mighty S Pen. Powering all that horsepower is a beefy 7000mah battery. Just by packing this tablet with those sort of specs, Samsung had to of made an innovative and revolutionary device, right ?

First impressions of the Galaxy Note 10.1 are on par with the majority of other Android tablets out there. The 10.1 inch screen boggles your mind in the beginning. Tablets this size have always been under high scrutiny for the simple fact of having very limited use for something that size and not calling a laptop. That's where Samsung one up's the critics with including the S Pen. It isn't a stylus. It isn't a gimmick. It truly works as an extended hand for touch input. This accessory is almost revolutionary in its own right and Samsung has even given us the luxury of providing a suite of applications the utilize the S Pen's multiple uses.

Check out the video unboxing for hands-on first impressions with the device.
