Last year (Feb 2017) in the jungle of southern Venezuela, living off roots, ants, minnows & drinking dirty river water for 6 days; paddling up stream for 8hr days in dugout canoes (I've only ever seen these before in a museum...), ducking under hundreds of fallen trees & constantly dragging the heavy dugout over sandbars and sunken logs, portaging the 300lb boats up waterfalls, macheteing thru impenetrable jungle from sunrise to sunset, "borrowing"/stealing canoes to cross rushing rivers, hiking in pitch black nights guided by local natives...all thru never ending rain and more rain.
Finally hustling our way onto a 6-seater #Cesna206 ✈ to escape e week of hell. Flew by #AuyánTepui 🗻 to finally arrive in Canaima, to explore waterfalls & the caves behind #SaltoUcaima waterfall.⛲
Finishing off at Angel Falls, highest waterfall in the world, 971m! (16x Niagara Falls or 2x CN Tower) - we finally made it! ⛲🚿🌊🗻
