We have an historic opportunity to contribute to ending preventable maternal, newborn and child deaths by 2030 by taking sustainable finance to scale. The Global Financing Facility (GFF) is helping governments in low- and lower-middle income countries transform how they prioritize and finance the health and nutrition of their people. This will contribute to saving up to 35 million lives by 2030, and greatly improve people’s and countries’ abilities to thrive in the global economy. We have an historic opportunity to make progress
To contribute to ending preventable maternal, newborn and child deaths by 2030, by taking sustainable finance to scale.

We have just 11 years to finish the job and we know what needs to be done…

We need new beginnings like these…

“Extra staff and equipment at our local clinic in Ndienne meant that we all survived post-partum haemorrhage”

“Joy was born 7 weeks early. I couldn’t believe she would make it, but thanks to staff trained in Kangaroo care, she did.”

Healthier starts like these…

“With my first child I dreaded the measuring tape. Now I’ve had nutrition support, I feel proud when the midwife sees how much he’s grown.”

More women able to choose…

“I wanted to grow my business and leave a longer space between my children. The monthly contraceptive jab means I have the power to choose this.”

and governments empowered to take the lead

- Actual voice of Dr. Oly Ilunga Kalenga, Minister of Health, DRC: The Global Financing Facility has brought an enormous advantage. Under the new approach, we bring together domestic resources and donor funds

To give us more futures like these…

- “We can show the whole country that we women have value, that we can say no to early marriage, and yes to education, to prevent poverty.”

We’re not stopping here.

Together, we are supporting countries to build, finance and sustain

the health systems that women, children and adolescents need to survive and thrive.
