Thank you to Astrid Forrestra for requesting a video on the Tree Expedition on Howrse. The skills of the horses you send to collect trees do not matter. It is the breed, age and coat colour that matter. The best combination is an 8 year old light grey Percheron and a 5 year old black donkey, as found out by trial and error on the prepod/test server for Howrse.

(Below posted by Elizayne on the UK spoiler forum) The decorations found in the advent calendar will be used to decorate trees in the next part of the promotion.

==THE TREES ==

TREES
The first three levels are already available to retrieve prizes. However, the Divine Winterwood is unlocked after 15 decorated trees. 
Yes - you can bring back 3 trees at a time (you just need to use 3 different pairs of horses)

There is no time limit on decorating a tree - so if you bring back a tree and are missing decorations, you can just leave it alone until you get those decorations.

There is no limit to the number of trees you can decorate in a day, nor a limit to how many trees you can bring back (so you could bring back 15 trees on day 1 if you wanted (though you would have to pay to speed up the process, or pay to get the tree right away)


TREE DECORATING 

You can pay Passes or Diamonds to speed up the process of bringing back a tree - the price depends on how long it takes to bring back the tree.

You can pay Passes to get more decorations - They are sold at the following rates:

Tinsel
1 pass = 6 strings of tinsel
3 passes = 18 strings of tinsel
5 passes = 35 strings of tinsel
10 passes = 75 strings of tinsel
20 passes = 170 strings of tinsel
50 passes = 450 strings of tinsel

Baubles *Ball ornaments*
1 pass = 4 baubles
3 passes = 12 baubles
5 passes = 23 baubles
10 passes = 50 baubles
20 passes = 100 baubles
50 passes = 300 baubles

Ornaments
1 pass = 3 hanging ornaments
3 passes = 9 hanging ornaments
5 passes = 18 hanging ornaments
10 passes = 40 hanging ornaments
20 passes = 90 hanging ornaments
50 passes = 250 hanging ornaments

The colours and styles you get are chosen at random from the decorations - so you may get duplicates.


WHAT DECORATIONS YOU NEED FOR THE DIVINE TREES:

There was a strategy where you just save all the decorations you get throughout the promo until December 24th, when the divine forest opens. Then put your saved up decorations on it. So if that works out, you could get it with no passes. Though this all depends when the promo is set to end and the rarity of your decoration stock
