Manic is one of my favorite films of all time and I thought I'd upload 2 Songs from the Soundtrack for which there's not much information, and see if any viewers have more info. The only thing I have to go off of is that the Original Motion Picture Score was composed by Michael Linnen & David Wingo, and some Music was contributed by Thurston Moore (vocalist for Sonic Youth) This song is the 2nd Song that plays during the End Credits and using Google Sound Search/Shazam to ID the song from my Phone yielded no results 2023 Update: While looking for the film on YouTube one day, i came across the complete soundtrack posted by music collective @Peace Biscuit, which includes bonus selections and song info. I've commented on their video looking for clarification on the song's information and am awaiting a response 2024 Update: I heard back! "@PeaceBisquit 9 months ago (edited) I really appreciate your love of this MANIC soundtrack! We hesitated to put it up to be honest. Not sure there would be any trainspotters. There's so many score pieces that didn't make the film and that we didn't include here on this 'bonus' version of the soundtrack (enough for a 2nd volume!). And yes, there are multiple 'versions' of certain selects. Will dip into the archives again and see if I can find this specific "Timberlawn." you highlight. I'm so glad the movie is uploaded - I hadn't watched it in about 20 years before compiling this collection. Fell in love again with the film, the performances and was able to truly appreciate the soundtrack we worked on - it feels like another character - purposefully. And I too love this end credit piece but did not have it digitized to include here yet. Let's see if we can unearth this beauty as well. In the meantime - I'm adding yours - Thank you!!! Bill c/o Peace Bisquit (Music Supervisor, MANIC - 2001)" Enjoy!
