The retail sector was in focus today after Mr Price reported its first decline in profits in 16 years. Headline Earnings per share - a main measure of profit - fell by more than ten percent. And Mr Price was complaining about politics. It said that cabinet reshuffles and downgrades by rating agencies have caused further rand volatility, which the consumer ultimately has to absorb.
