On Monday, March 1, 2010, there was a public hearing regarding a proposed franchise agreement with Time Warner Cable. Community members and media reform organizers joined the Council of Albany Neighborhood Associations' Cable Television Committee and Albany Community Television to participate in the public hearing. They showed the Common Council a commitment to public access television, and spoke out about their concerns regarding the direction the proposed contract is headed.
