Lecture 1 - Why Elephants Can't Dance If you were to drop a hamster and a dog off the tallest building in the world, which would be the most likely to survive? Many Jelly balloons were dropped to bring you this experiment! We first tried with water balloons, but soon realised that these were not going to be realistic enough. Strawberry jelly was tested but, because of its high sugar content, becomes liquid on impact with the ground rather than the quivering mass we had hoped for. In the lectures we used ballistics gelatine, a mixture that is used by police forensic specialists to simulate flesh....
