A quick way to move elements on the screen is to use the Nudge feature: select one or more elements, then use Shift + arrow key (Left/Right/Up/Down) to move the element left, right, up or down. Best of all, Nudge works in the 3D window too, where you can nudge elements left, right, up or down on a horizontal plane. No other application offers this very useful capability in 3D.
