A Piece of Comet Halley Strikes the Moon?

Three meteoroids were seen hitting the moon recently, all possible pieces of Comet Halley. The radiant of the Eta Aquariid, the meteor shower caused from Comet Halley, was positioned so that almost all of the visible part of the moon was exposed to it. This movie shows a meteoroid impact on May 11. Taking into account the brightness of the flash and the large amount of moon glare, this is one of the largest impacts we have seen to date.
