Mario Silva aka Eat Dust returns to Piston Recordings with his tenth offering entitled Cachofarra EP. Mario always serves up a real treat with everything he produces. This time he delves into tech house with two tracks that will most definitely represent his superb talents. Previous outing here have proven very popular thanks to high chartings and numerous playlistings.

Cachofarra intros with a solid 909 kick alongside a bright and crispy slicing hi hat. Cool percussions layer up creating a tight rhythmic vibe while curious FX deliver an experimental sound. A deep sub level bass comes through giving the track great depth and a raw organic feel. The mish mash of sounds combine perfectly making this an absolute belter of a track that will get the tech party flowing for sure.

Word On The Hood delivers a superb tech house groove filled with warm beats and shuffling hi hats alongside cool percussions. The bassline draws you in with its powerful low end gait while subtle chord strikes face off against surreal FX and mysterious pads. Throughout the track superb spoken vocals bring an urban vibe to the sound and on the break ambient vocals set against a street soundscape take the track to the next level before we are thrust back into the main groove. A definite contender for peak time sets, not to be missed.
