The thinking behind these incredible instruments was to combine a traditional semi-hollowbody single-cutaway guitar with the classic tonality of a Les Paul. The Gibson Memphis factory has surpassed our lofty expectations and succeeded beyond our wildest dreams. Fitting an arch top with Les Paul features and a center block similar to that of a ES-335, the ES-137 is a powerhouse oozing with vintage charm. The result is an ultra versatile guitar that pays tribute to the legendary archtop heritage established by the ES-175 and ES-135 models that came before it.
