Certainly didn't set out to upload anything when I pressed "record" this afternoon. I found a couple of covers of the first section of the song and have been playing along with those for a couple of weeks (and put a drum-bass cover up this past week), but this was the first time in ages (like, years) I'd played through the entire song. I set up the camera just to troubleshoot afterwards, knew the first part was going to be at least okay but knew I'd be flying on instinct after that, a combination of muscle memory, knowing the song, and either getting into the groove or not - this really is one of those songs for me, always has been: I either nail it or it's a train wreck rhythmically, depending on the day. I didn't know what to expect but I was ready for carnage - but all in good fun, first time in forever and all that, and, "Let's see what happens."

Well, this happened. It isn't perfect, kind of flubbed the ending because I got lost in the song and forgot to keep time (and a brief key malfunction), but I think in the end it came together pretty damn well for a first take!
