Dana-Farber/Children's Hospital Cancer Center held its 20th Annual Jimmy Fund Summer Festival on July 29, 2012 The celebration was attended by more than 2,000 people, including patients, former cancer patients and their family members. The day was filled with carnival rides including a ferris wheel, go carts and carnival games. A petting zoo where kids got to spend time with baby goats, ducks and bunnies was a big hit. There was also an arts and crafts tent that gave families the chance to try their hand at sand-sculpting and tye-dying. Besides all the fun and games, the festival is mainly a time for families to reunite with other families from the Jimmy Fund Clinic and meet new patients now going through treatment.
