The Japan Times Force Labor Comfort Women – huh?

In the November 30th, 2018 edition of The Japan Times, appeared an earth shattering editorial.  The editorial declared the newspaper will not reference “forced labor,” instead refer to as “wartime laborers.”  The paper did not stop there and continued:  No longer “Comfort Women,” instead will use:  “…women who worked in wartime brothels,……”

Such a shock from a very liberal newspaper.  The Japan Times is the oldest English written newspaper in Japan since 1897.  The shock was short-lived.  In their December 7th, 2018 edition they backtracked claiming it was not due to outside pressure.  No that was not in the comic section.
