Wildwoodians, put your hands together for the newest member of the Wildwood Ten family: the '65 Jazzmaster! It comes dressed to impress with a matching headstock and a bound fingerboard, but it's more than a pretty face! It was a real struggle to put this one down, because it has a lot of the qualities I look for in a Jazzmaster. The bridge pickup has snappy, laser-focused midrange and a lush, responsive high-end. Playing softly yields a beautiful open sound, while strumming hard gives you one of the gnarliest rock rhythm tones I've ever had the privilege of unleashing on the world! Punk rockers, Sonic Youth devotees, and garage rock weirdos will find a lot to love, and so will fans of jangly Britpop. The neck pickup builds its sonic foundation upon a bedrock of warm, woody low-midrange, above which you can hear some glorious quack and sparkle. It's warmer than the bridge, but it still has the same responsive top-end, so you can get all sorts of thick-yet-clear rhythm tones out of it. For leads, it gives you warm, smooth, glassy tone that conjures images of boulders made of obsidian. Anyone looking for a supremely responsive Jazzmaster with an attitude problem will love this serial!
