This version of 'South of the Border' appeared on 'Out of the Shadows', the second album released in 1962 by the British instrumental group The Shadows. Originally this was a popular song, written by Jimmy Kennedy and Michael Carr and published in 1939 for the film of the same name starring the singing cowboy, Gene Autry.
